Take either the Far Rockaway train to the Lawrence Station, or the Long Beach train to the last stop (Long Beach). Take a taxi from the station to 29 Queens Ave, Atlantic Beach (5-7 minutes from either station).
Directions From Van Wyck Expressway to Atlantic Beach Bridge
Take the Van Wyck Expressway South (in direction of Kennedy Airport) to the very end, to Exit 1E Nassau Expressway. Exit 1E curves sharply to the left. Stay in right lane going around the curve and at the end of the curve follow the right lane and the sign to Rockaway Expressway (the right fork). (Do not stay in the middle or left lanes going around the curve, since this will take you to a second “1E” sign and an exit to the Southern State Pkwy, which you do not want!)
Continue straight on Rockaway Expressway. Do NOT take the exit for JFK Expressway.
Rockaway Expressway becomes Rockaway Blvd. and passes Kennedy Airport. Immediately after you pass the large Costco Store on your right, follow signs to 878 Nassau Expressway South (total distance from Van Wyck Exit 1E to 878 is 4.5 miles). Continue straight on 878 South, for 2.5 miles, follow signs to Atlantic Beach Bridge.
Cross over the Atlantic Beach Bridge and follow the curve to the left when leaving the Bridge. You will be on Park Street. Continue on Park St. Approximately 17 blocks to Queens Avenue. (Blocks run alphabetically, A,B,C etc. to “Q” for Queens Ave.) Turn right on Queens Ave., proceed to the end of the block, - 29 Queens is last house on the right.
Directions from Eastern Long Island via Meadowbrook
Take the Southern State Parkway to Exit 22-Meadowbrook Parkway. Take Meadowbrook Parkway South to the end, following signs for Loop Parkway/Point Lookout/Lido & Long Beach. At the end of Loop Parkway, turn right on Lido Blvd.
Continue down Lido Blvd. for approximately 5.8 miles, through Lido Beach and Long Beach, where it becomes Park Avenue and where Park Avenue becomes a single lane street. At the end of Park Avenue, follow the signs to Atlantic Beach Bridge, making a left turn, and then an immediate right turn on the next Avenue which is Beech Street. Continue on Beech Street for approximately 1.7 miles into Atlantic Beach.
In Atlantic Beach, the streets run alphabetically, in descending order as you arrive from the east, from Wayne (“W”) to Albany (“A”). Beech Street now becomes Park Street. Continue on Park Street to Queens Avenue (“Q”), and turn left on Queens Avenue. Proceed to the end of the block. 29 Queens is the last house on the right side of the block.
Directions From Eastern Long Island via West Broadway
Take Southern State Parkway Westbound to Exit 13. Go South on Central Avenue, which changes to Mill Road after crossing Sunrise Highway. Continue until end of Mill Road, where it intersects with West Broadway (before the railroad tracks). Total distance from Southern State Parkway Exit to West Broadway is approximately 3.5 miles.)
Go Right on West Broadway for approximately 2.4 miles (it becomes Burnside Avenue at the very end) until you reach Nassau Expressway-878. Go left (South) on Nassau Expressway, following signs to Atlantic Beach Bridge.
